"I'm not leaving this place alive, you sick fuck, and neither are you."
-Killjoys, Chapter 40.

If you haven't read ~legolasofthewood's fanfiction yet, you should. She just finished it today.

After a full week of her uploading chapters to finish this up, I felt particularly inspired and after several failed attempts at drawing my own characters, I turned back to the story and decided to work on something from that for fun. It had started out as just a portrait of Fire Frenzy in some kind of dramatic lighting as if around fire. But I really, really liked the line I quoted above and soon it just turned into me wanting to illustrate said line.

I won't get into too much detail in case you're still reading or plan on doing so. Just know that Frenzy's in the middle of a fight. Lots of fire, lots of explosions, lots of chaos.

I know Frenzy doesn't technically have her jacket in this scene, but it worked out better than drawing her without it. Or at least I thought so.

I think this is my best piece so far. I'm super proud of her face, and I saved my progress along the way so I can make my face tutorial later! The tutorial will not include the blood and cuts on her face, though.

Anyway, Fire Frenzy, everyone! Eight hours, ate nothing, going to make dinner now.

Sorry for the late reply, I thought I had already replied to this but evidently homework is eating part of my brain.

I did the splattery blood on this one with a layer mask. I masked a layer that was a copy of all the other layers but edited to a dark red. As far as the dripping blood goes, this tutorial is helpful: [link]

I hope the tutorial is helpful for you, thank you for your kind comment!

Wow! Good job! I'm learning how to draw and I'm progressing so much, soon I'm going to work on my first drawing from my imagination. I'm very excited! But I'm doing it with Pencils (Traditional). I will like to scan my future creation to paint it with Painter 12/Photoshop CS5. I don't have a scanner, yet, but if I scan it, can the picture come (for example) 16x20 without losing qualities? Thanks for your help and inspiration.

Thanks!

I don't usually scan in sketches, I tend to sketch straight into the program, so I won't be able to give you much advice when it comes to getting a good quality scan.

Thanks so much Tera. The thing is that since I'm learning how to draw I find it easy to do it first on Traditional way. I do have a tablet/Photoshop CS5 and Painter 12. We just needed an artist :-p . LOL. But he's in the making. Thanks again.
